How to Fall for Fall

8 Oct

This week is SUPER exciting. Want to know why? I’ll give you a hint- it starts with fall and ends with break.

Thursday is the start of FALL BREAK!

Fall is one of my very favorite times of the year! The air is crisp, the leaves are crunchy, and pumpkin spice latte’s are brewing! Fall break comes at a perfect time for college students. This time of year feels like the most critical with exams and homework piling up on top of you. It may only be a couple of days, but we’ve got to take what we can get!

For today’s blog, I wanted to provide you with some of my favorite fall activities to help you get excited for this fabulous season! Hopefully you’ll be encouraged to work super hard so that you can take time to “fall, for fall. . .

Here in the South, college football is just a way of life. We love, live and breathe everything football. When we notice that our calendar’s are approaching the fall season, one of our first thoughts are “…it’s football season.” Fall is a perfect time to enjoy tailgating and watching your favorite football team!

Another one of my fall favorites include apple picking. The leaves are changing colors and it’s a perfect time to make a trip to the mountains and enjoy that view. Pick some beautifully colored apples and use them for snacks or for different recipes (apple butter, apple pie, apple cider). P.S – If you add cinnamon, it will give your home that lovely “fall” smell!

Enjoy the Fall air! Take a foggy morning walk, have a backyard campfire, go on a hayride, … just get outside! Do whatever you can to inhale that crisp air. It won’t stay for long..

Don’t forget about October 31st! Who doesn’t love Halloween?!? You know it’s approaching when the Oreos with the orange stuffing comes out … (yum, yum, YUM) Decide on the perfect costume with friends, pick a pumpkin from the patch and carve it, and incorporate pumpkin into your recipes (pancakes, pie, bread)!

Like I said, Fall doesn’t last for long, enjoy it while it’s here! And college students, hang in there… Fall break is coming!

-xoxo, Emily
